Kids Helping Kids Hope Pack Drive
Carrying Hope’s annual citywide Hope Pack drive is 9am – 12pm, July 14th at the Browning Hangar at Mueller and we are asking the community to bring complete Hope Packs for children ages newborn to teens entering foster care. It’s a fun, family friendly day and an amazing way for kids to help other kids. We’ll have a petting zoo from Carly’s Critter Camp, stilt walking and other activities from The Boogaloo Crew, face painting, free admission passes to the Thinkery, free Kona Ice and a variety of food trucks. Curious about fostering? Austin-area foster agencies will be there to answer any questions.
More details to come and if you’d like to come out and help that day, email us at email@example.com
Our 2017 Hope Pack Drive was on Saturday July 22, 2017 at the Browning Hangar at Mueller
Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of people who participated, Carrying Hope was able to collect 500 Hope Packs for children entering foster care! That number, added to the 200 we provided to area agencies earlier in the year, brings us to 700, which is our goal for the entire year of 2017 and will allow us to give one to each child entering the foster care system in Travis County this year! To have achieved our 2017 goal already, before we’ve even reached August, is a feat we’d never imagined. For everyone who has put together a Hope Pack, picked up some of our most-needed items, made a donation or volunteered with us, please know we truly could not have done it without you! We can’t wait to see what more we can do together as we move excitedly into the future!
